Arcata's new employee orientation combines state-of-the-art technology to efficiently move you through the orientation process without abandoning the human touch. Although you will utilize our computerized Human Resources Knowledge Center to enroll in your benefit plans, complete Federal and State new employee paperwork, and learn about Arcata's policies, your Human Resources Representative will be with you throughout the process to personally answer your questions and to ensure that you successfully complete all orientation requirements.
You will satisfy many of your initial training obligations by completing computer-based courses available through Arcata's Learning Management System (LMS). Most of our employees use our electronic timecard system to record their paid time, and all employees who elect our direct deposit benefit participate in our "paperless paystub" iPay program that allows you to view your current paycheck through a secure website and stores your past paycheck information up to two years.
Our commitment to diversity is embedded in our company culture; we appreciate everyone's individual characteristics, backgrounds, experiences, and talents.
As an equal opportunity employer, our career opportunities are available to all applicants and employees and will be evaluated based on their qualifications, not on the basis of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic information, disability, or any other basis protected by state or federal law. Arcata will make reasonable accommodations for job applicants and employees with disabilities. Arcata is also firmly committed to affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified minorities, women, disabled individuals, disabled veterans and Vietnam Era veterans.
Arcata offers a full complement of benefits to employees under its cafeteria plan. These include medical, dental and vision insurance for employees and their eligible dependents and domestic partners, life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and in some locations short and long term disability. Where allowed by law, payroll deductions for these benefits are taken as a pre-tax deduction from the employee's compensation.
In addition, Arcata offers a qualified 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and a Paid Absence Allowance policy that includes paid leave for vacations, holidays, illness/injury, personal business, bereavement, jury duty and military leave.
