Arcata Associates Wins 2010 NASA Dryden Flight Research Center Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award
(Bethesda, Maryland). On December 1, 2010, Arcata Associates was named the 2010 NASA Dryden Flight Research Center Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year for its work on the Research Facilities and Engineering Support Services (RF&ESS) contract.
The award was presented to Arcata President Tim Wong and Arcata Vice President David Recce, RF&ESS Program, by NASA Deputy Administrator Lori Garver and NASA Associate Administrator, Office of Small Business Programs, Glenn Delgado at the 3rd Annual NASA Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony held in Bethesda, Maryland. It recognizes successful and innovative practices that promote small business participation in the initiatives that NASA undertakes. Recipients of this award are companies who have scored best in performance, responsiveness, cooperation and innovation.
"This is the second time in three years that Arcata has received this award. It is certainly a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees who have partnered with our customer to achieve the highest levels of responsiveness and support," said Tim Wong.
David Recce added, "Winning the DFRC Small Business Prime Contractor of the year again is a validation of the outstanding work that my team performs on a daily basis for our NASA customer. I'm extremely proud for my Arcata RF&ESS team and their extraordinary accomplishments."
Arcata Associates has been a prime contractor at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center since 2002. The Company supports aeronautical flight research, scientific discovery, and manned space flight including the shuttle and the next generation space vehicle.
