Timothy Miller, an Arcata Associates employee who works at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center in Edwards, Calif., was honored to receive a NASA Space Flight Awareness (SFA) Award at a ceremony in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday, October 30, 2010. NASA's Space Flight Awareness Program recognizes outstanding job performances and contributions by civil service and contract employees and focuses on excellence in quality and safety in support of human space flight. It is one of NASA's most prestigious awards.

Timothy Miller, Arcata work group lead and field service engineer, has dedicated his time to the success of the Shuttle Program for over 14 years. Timothy has supported more than 56 STS shuttle missions and other low-Earth orbit vehicles from Dryden's Aeronautical Tracking Facilities. Besides overseeing numerous space shuttle orbits and landing operations, Timothy has designed and participated in many engineering developments on the shuttle data processing System and telemetry upgrades. According to his nomination, "Tim has also supported countless aeronautical research projects that have paved the way for future space flight."
